WHAT ARE THE CURRENT IMPACTS TO TRAVELERS?
Traveler impact is determined by the phase of construction we are currently experiencing. The ground level of the South Garage will continue to be used for passenger drop-off and pick-up as terminal construction continues adjacent to the roadway. Travelers may experience detours and are encouraged to follow signage throughout the South Garage and airport terminal. WHEN WAS THE CANOPY COMPLETED, AND WHAT’S NEXT?
The full-length glass canopy over Terminal Drive was complete in 2025. Construction on the terminal façade continues to progress. Build OMA is rolling out in planned phases to minimize disruptions to travelers and ensure the airport remains operational along the way.
WHAT WAS THE BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT?
The total project costs for the canopy and roadway were $65M.
HOW IS THIS PROJECT BEING FUNDED?
The Omaha Airport Authority is a non-taxing authority and collects user fees to support the operation and maintenance of airport facilities. The project was funded with airport revenues and federal grants.
