As the season changes, so does the landscape at Eppley Airfield. The Build OMA Terminal Modernization Program continues to move forward, with major progress on key projects that are shaping the future of air travel in Omaha.

  • Central Utility Plant now operational – Providing heating, cooling, electricity and data throughout the terminal
  • First modernized restrooms open – Offering travelers an early look at updated interior finishes
  • Terminal Drive glass canopy nearing completion – Expected to wrap this spring, providing shelter from the elements
  • Central Pavilion work continues – Preparing for future centralized security and dining and retail options
  • Terminal remains temporarily split – Use enhanced signage, on-site support and FlyOMA.com/map to navigate
  • Doors 2 and 4 reopening this summer – Part of continued work on the terminal’s new glass façade

These improvements mark continued progress in a multi-year transformation that will modernize every corner of the terminal—enhancing efficiency, meeting the needs of today’s travelers, and preparing OMA for the future. The full project remains on track for completion in 2028.
